She's here!!!

She is finally here! Ashlynn Nicole arrived at 10:24, December 6th. She weighed 6lbs 3ozs and is 19 inches long. She is perfect in every way. She has a head full of light brown hair with a reddish tint. She has her momma's mouth and a little stubborn streak. She is already folding her little hands like she is praying, clasped with her fingers interlaced.

Her Poppa T is wrapped around her little pinkie. Her Love can hardly wait to play with her more and spoil her rotten! So many pics to scrap, so many more to take!

WOW! I am gonna be a grandma

Oh my goodness! I just heard from my daughter, Angel and she is in the early stages of labor. Wow! She is due Christmas Eve, but she has already dilated 3.5 centimeters and is having mild contractions. We could have Ashlynn here by the weekend!

I am beside myself with excitement and anxiety and anticipation. Oh, lord, I am going to be a grandma!

*thunk*

Saturday

This morning, Leo woke up and looked like a Chinese chipmunk! The Dr had put him on Allegra for a cold and we discovered that he is allergic. Hmmmm. He looked like this:

We took him to the ER and they treated him and released us after two and a half hours. Poor thing slept for most of the time thanks to the antihistamine. The swelling has gone down a lot and he even felt like riding his go cart.

Thank goodness I got pictures to scrapbook. "Leo the Chinese Chipmunk"

Thanksgiving

I am sitting here contemplating the holiday today. Whew, kinda glad it is over! Tim cooked the turkey and ham, and as usual, it was delicious. I was in charge of the rest. I think i did very well on the sweet potato casserole and mac & cheese. The dressing was, quite possibly, the worst ever in the history of dressing! (and I call myself a southern belle!) There was nothing green on the menu, save the celery in the dressing. But it was all great. Angel (DD) and her husband came over and Leo (DS) is home from the group home. He slept in today. Til 1 pm. :) We all had some great family time. Even the dogs and cats benefited. Taz got the ham bone and Chalupa and the cats got the fat.

Tim took his full belly off to bed early. The pets are snoring away and Leo is spending the night with his sister. All is blissfully silent.

Happy Thanksgiving!

So Sorry

Well, apparently I have stalled in my ambitious quest to maintain a blog! Life has been a little wild lately and I have not had much time to work on the croppin barn, so it is a little messy. Hopefully soon, I can get it straightened out.

Tim and I found out this summer that we are going to be grandparents!! My daughter is expecting her first baby- a girl!-on December 24th. Hopefully she will be here before Christmas so that Santa can visit. If not, he may visit anyway. I have decided that I will be called Luv and Tim will be Dude. Original, right? We are just too young to be any of the standard grandparent names.

I have been working on some projects for a variety of craft fairs lately. I will be posting photos of some of the items soon. I have a few favorites like tiny 3x3 note cards and some calendars. I also made all of the invites to Angel's baby shower and they were really cute even if I do say so myself. And I will be making coordinated baby announcements. I probably should get started!

Croppin Barn Progress

Wow! We have been busy! We decided to go with a pink, black and white color scheme with lime green as an accent. We hung curtians on 2 of the walls and pegboard on the back wall. My super father in law hung some shelves and built a little front porch today. He is my hero!

We have a little painting to do and then we can move things in and organize the TONS of scrappy stuff. We should be croppin in there next week!!

First Post

Ok, I have finally gotten it together enough to start my own blog. What should I talk about? Well, stampin' of course!

My current project is taking my Dad's barn and converting it into a scrappin space with the help of my Mom. This will give us a great place to host crops and work on our own projects.

The first thing we have to do is move out the tools, generator parts and saddles and other horse items. We have a lot of work ahead of us!! And in 100 degree heat! Hopefully we will be well on our way to scrapping in the next few weeks.
